The Make-Along starts in:

WHAT

This mystery make-along is both for knitters and crocheters. It’s a beginner-friendly project (basic knit/crochet knowledge is required). There is a make-along kit for crocheters and one for knitters and the patterns are designed by Katie Jones. A little hint is that it’s a cardigan inspired by a quilt exhibition from the Fashion and Textile Museum in London.

HOW

Sign up with you in the form above. During the 6 week mystery make-along you receive an email each week with a new part of the pattern and videos created by Katie Jones that can guide you through the project. You can order your crochet kit here and knit kit here. There is a limited amount of kits available!

WHEN

The kits have been released! The mystery make-along begins on the 16th of March and ends the 1st May 2023. Take a look at our Make-Along calendar below for more details.

Meet the designer!

Hobbii is extremely excited about having teamed up with designer Katie Jones.

For those of you who might not know her so well, she is a UK-based crochet and knitting designer. Katies is naturally drawn to colours and amazingly talented at combining colours that results in original designs and fun patterns to make. Katie loves - art books, exhibitions and pinterest, these are her favourite sources for creativity and inspiration.

When working on the #NoShadesOfGreyMAL she especially liked the challenge of designing one garment and working out how it could work both ways as a knit and crochet pattern.

We can honestly say that the make-along design has turned out beyond our expectations. We cannot wait for all of you to see the final piece. Let’s kick-of the #NoShadesOfGreyMAL!

Share your process photos throughout the make-along and a final photo or video of your #NoShadesOfGreyMAL cardigan on 30th April (by 23.59 CET) Then you will have a chance to be the lucky winner of one of ten Hobbii gift cards worth 63£!

You simply share a feed posting with your make-along project on Instagram or Facebook and use the #NoShadesOfGreyMAL @hobbii_yarn and @katiejonesknit.

The winners will be contacted via Facebook/Instagram and announced on 1st May.
